I am glad that my brother in Lord has opened this particular topic.
This is so important, and even more in these days than back then.
As Christians, we sometimes have a tendency of criticizing some denominations that are very active in organizing witnessing sessions, but many assemblies derived from a Pentecostal background are quite passive in going out witnessing.
Now, let us reason a bit here for a moment:
If when there is a significant event that takes place (crime, major discovery, political election, etc…) we are either called or liked to be a witness.
The fact that JESUS has entered into our lives, deliver us from the mental, psychological, financial, spiritual and physical bonds and consequences of sin is to be classed, without a doubt, the most exciting and amazing event in one’s life. Something great & unique !
Thus, we should be eager to go and share with any one of the magnitude of this event.
In the process, they will likely experience it too !
This is why Jesus said (in John 15: 26 and 27) “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.”
So we are called to bear witness of the Light so that others may see & come into the kingdom.
