    Our Heavenly Father

    By Benjamin F Boyrard (25/10/2008)

Oh God, creator of life and author of my soul,

Lightning goes before thee and under thy feet the thunder rolls.

Oh heavenly Father, hallowed be thy name,

For thy great mercies and love I’ll ever proclaim.

Thou have sent thy only son to establish a new kingdom

And from the bondage of sin, our hearts and souls can rejoice in freedom.

Father, let everything that be on Earth as in Heaven, be of thy will,

Even if it is to see thy face, we’ll have to climb the highest hill.

Thou have let us see a new sun; grant us Father, with just what we need

And let us not fight or kill because of jealousy, envy and greed.

Father, please forgive us of our every evil thoughts, seed of our sins,

As we forgive all those who against us wanted to sin.

Lead us not, precious Father, into the hands of evil seduction

But rather take us into the glory of thy salvation.

For unto thee belong our hearts, souls; power and glory

From this very day, tomorrow, and on into eternity.

    Amen !
